Ready to add some purrfectly spooky charm to your Halloween??
Crochet these cute pumpkin cats, The Pumpkats!
Pin
Pin These were the original sketches for my Pumpkats!
I wanted to create adorable, customizable cats with removable outfits. While the clothes evolved a bit during the design process, they still turned out super cute and perfect for play!
PATTERN INFO
Mr. and Mrs. Pumpkats are crocheted from the top down.
No need to sew! The arms and tail are crocheted separately and then attached securely to the body while you are crocheting. The legs are then shaped by dividing the body in two and crocheting down further. The optional overalls, dress, and hat are all removable.
The final touch comes by crocheting the ears directly to the top of the head – no sewing again!
In the pattern you will have photos step-by-step for everything.
The Pumpkats are a delightful addition to the Halloween collection! You can find all the Halloween patterns in my shop: Etsy Shop, in the Crochet Patterns section.
This is an easy-to-follow pattern thanks to the pictures step-by-step, and it’s perfect for crocheters with some experience in amigurumi.
- The patterns are written in English, using US terminology.
- Crochet skill level: Intermediate.
- Skills/Stitches required: chain, magic circle, slip stitch, single crochet, increase, decrease, half-double crochet, double crochet, back loop only, front loop only, V-stitch (explained in the pattern), PICOT 2-Chains (explained in the pattern).

Hi, I’m Eleonora. I grew up in Milan and have been living in London since 2019. I left a corporate career to turn my lifelong passion for crafts into a full-time creative business. Creating with my hands has always been part of who I am – from crochet to sewing, from small handmade projects to full garments. I also have a soft spot for animals, especially cats. I started crocheting at a young age and later taught myself how to sew through books and online tutorials. Over time, I began experimenting with different techniques, patterns, and materials, discovering just how powerful and calming handmade creativity can be. That journey led me to share my knowledge online, first through YouTube and later through classes, patterns, and workshops. Today, I’m a crochet and embroidery teacher, helping others learn at their own pace and find confidence through making.
