Pin Cushion

Pin Cushion

PREMISE

Anyone who approaches sewing, whether by hand or by the sewing machine, sooner or later will need a pin cushion or pin holder!

It is a very simple project, which does not require the sewing machine and can be done by beginners and even children.

There are infinite ways to create one: wrist pin cushion, hanging pin cushion, pin cushion tied to the sewing machine, pin cushion jar, pin cushion with magnet, with padding, etc.

I wanted something that was multipurpose and above all that could stay still while I was taking the pins.

Most pin cushions are lightweight, because they only have a padding or a simple magnet and they move when you take the pins.

So, after an online research, I decided that I would have made a PIN CUSHION JAR: in addition to being pin cushion it would have been also a container.

The fact that it would have being made of glass, it meant that it would also have been quite still!

VIDEO-TUTORIAL

This was the first project for which I decided to make a tutorial, so below you can see the video that I created by combining the photos I had taken at the time.

However, I realized soon that photo sliding wouldn’t be very useful so, after this tutorial, I started filming and editing as you can see from the other videos on my channel.
